About the role#
MKEC Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship. You will work on a variety of projects across Land Development, Public Works, and Transportation departments.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience on real-world projects such as residential and commercial developments, schools, healthcare facilities, athletic facilities, roadways, streets, and bridges.
- Learn and use design software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Collaborate directly with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
- Learn the full design process from start to finish.
- Assist project teams in meeting client expectations and schedules.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET accredited engineering degree program.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Exposure to software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation is preferred.
- Strong time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a desire to work in a team-oriented culture.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
