About the role#
MKEC Engineering is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for our Wichita office. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will work on projects within our Architectural Engineering or Industrial/Energy service areas. You will gain hands-on experience while working directly with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
What you'll do#
- Work on real-world projects such as schools, commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, manufacturing facilities, and energy terminals.
- Learn the full design process from start to finish.
- Use industry-specific design software.
- Assist the project team in meeting client expectations and project schedules.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Structural or Architectural Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- Experience using Microsoft Office.
- Exposure to or awareness of AutoCAD or RISA is preferred.
- Strong time management skills and clear communication.
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn in a team-oriented culture.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
