About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in mechanical design and product development. You will work directly with our engineering and administration teams to support our mission of creating accessible educational robotics parts. This is an on-site role based in Carrollton, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Create mechanical 3D CAD designs for specific products and components.
- Assist with the design and construction of prototype products.
- Assemble parts and finished products.
- Help with product testing, evaluation, and the creation of technical documentation.
- Operate production equipment as needed.
- Support the general goals and daily operations of the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Experience with CAD design software is required, with SOLIDWORKS preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow directions.
- Strong time management skills.
- Two years of experience with a FIRST Robotics team or similar program is preferred.
- Familiarity with power and hand tools is a plus.
- Customer service experience is considered a benefit.

- This is a paid, full-time internship located in Carrollton, Texas.
- The position operates on a rolling term basis.
