About the role#
The Payments (PRESTO) Finance Operations team is looking for a Co-op Student, Settlement & Treasury. You will support financial processes that ensure accurate reporting, reconciliations, and fund management. This role provides hands-on experience in finance operations, accounting, and treasury activities while you work alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations to ensure records are accurate.
- Assist with preparing journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation for financial transactions.
- Review and reconcile information from internal systems and external partners.
- Help maintain established financial controls, processes, and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and supporting documentation for the team.
- Organize, track, and maintain documentation related to financial and treasury processes.
- Provide administrative and analytical support on various projects and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a recognized post-secondary co-op program.
- Eligibility to complete a co-op work term as part of your academic requirements with plans to return to school afterward.
- Enrollment in Business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
