About the role#
Beedie is seeking an Investments Intern for a four-month term from May 2027 to September 2027. Based in our Etobicoke office, this full-time, paid position supports our Transactions and Acquisitions team. You will gain hands-on experience in real estate investment, development, and asset management while contributing to the growth of our industrial portfolio in Eastern Canada.
What you'll do#
- Prepare financial analysis for real estate investments, including cash flow modelling, financing assumptions, IRRs, and output sensitivities.
- Assist the Investments team with deal execution and the due diligence process.
- Track and record potential acquisitions in our CRM database.
- Collect and evaluate economic and market data to support underwriting assumptions.
- Prepare memos, presentations, and reports for management.
- Help the Asset Management team execute strategies at the asset level.
- Review site plans alongside the Development, Design, and Sales teams.
- Travel occasionally for market activity, asset visits, and meetings.
- Handle ad hoc projects and special assignments as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Mathematics.
- Preference for students in their 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate studies or the final year of a graduate program.
- Demonstrated interest in real estate or corporate finance through academic clubs or prior internship experience.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A working knowledge of Argus Enterprise is an asset.
