About the role#
This is an 8 to 12 month internship supporting the Challenger project team. You will work within the Project Engineering Department to assist with planning, scheduling, and risk management. This role is based in Mississauga and follows a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Create project plans and implementation schedules.
- Monitor project performance and support daily tasks.
- Prepare business cases, including documentation and budgets, to support decision-making.
- Maintain project schedules, governance files, and databases.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Solve complex issues and handle non-standard tasks.
- Apply creative problem-solving to improve project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Engineering, Business Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Adaptability to handle evolving priorities.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience in project management, scheduling, or budgeting is an asset.
- Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is an asset.
- French language skills are an asset.
