About the role#
This internship supports smart factory initiatives and manufacturing operations at Bombardier. You will work on software and digital transformation projects for advanced aircraft programs. This role is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Design and deploy full-stack web applications and internal tools to support manufacturing operations.
- Engineer backend automation scripts and data integration pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Build custom applications that streamline communication and workflows across engineering teams.
- Assist with strategic software initiatives related to advanced aircraft programs.
- Research emerging software architectures and AI applications for manufacturing.
- Prepare governance materials, technical documentation, and project updates for senior management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate Engineering program, such as Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong development foundations in Python, SQL, React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Git.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and modern digital productivity tools.
- Professionalism and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
