About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Software Engineering Internship for Summer 2027. You will join a team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, working on advanced systems that process modern communications for the U.S. Government. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Solve complex technical problems while working on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams.
- Contribute to the build, test, and delivery of software applications.
- Work with the guidance of a product lead and team members who will assist in establishing an approach, performing code reviews, and supporting testing.
What you'll need#
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM major.
- Must be actively enrolled through the completion of the internship.
- Experience developing in C++ in a Linux environment.
- Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python, Linux script, or Bash.
- Preferred experience includes Object Oriented Design, Rust, Qt, User Interface development, Angular, Multithreading, and Embedded SW Design.
- Preferred experience with hardware integration, configuration management tools like git, and build processes such as makefiles or CMake.
- Familiarity with network protocols like TCP/IP, telecommunications systems, signal processing, and ITU standards is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and individually.
