About the role#
This co-op position supports the Quality Engineering, Inspection, and Assurance teams in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. You will work on-site in Melbourne, Florida, during the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. This is a full-time, paid role requiring U.S. Person status.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in First Article Inspection efforts, including documentation reviews and specification verification.
- Conduct process walk-throughs, quality audits, and documentation checks to ensure compliance.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective action activities under the guidance of engineers.
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel and inspectors to resolve nonconformances.
- Create, revise, and control quality documentation such as work instructions and inspection reports.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to complete the full co-op session.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to manufacturing or lab environments via coursework, projects, or prior experience.
- A basic understanding of quality concepts and programming.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, or measurement tools.
- Experience organizing data, creating reports, or supporting technical documentation.
