About the role#
This is a 4-month full-time co-op position for the Winter 2027 term, running from January to April. You will rotate through the Business Management teams supporting Operations GO and UP. This role provides hands-on experience in contract management, operational technology, project delivery, and performance reporting. You will contribute to day-to-day operations and improvement initiatives while working under the guidance of experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support daily contract administration, including record maintenance and tracking deliverables.
- Monitor contract milestones, invoices, performance measures, and upcoming renewals.
- Prepare contract summaries, presentations, meeting materials, and action logs.
- Collect and validate information from business units and vendors.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of operational technology and business improvement projects.
- Maintain project schedules, work plans, status reports, risk logs, and decision records.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to track dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.
- Extract, clean, and analyze operational performance data.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Support operational readiness by tracking requirements and identifying improvement opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a recognized post-secondary co-op program, with plans to return to school after the term.
- Enrollment in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Project Management, or Public Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, organizational, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or within a team.
- Strong attention to detail when collecting and validating information.
- An interest in public transit, contract management, or operational reporting.
- Previous experience in a business, project, or data environment is an asset.
- Familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools is an asset.
