About the role#
The PRESTO team is looking for a Co-op Student to help with operational readiness, business process improvement, and testing. You will work with business and technology teams to support system enhancements, document processes, and gather requirements for initiatives that support PRESTO services across the region. This is a 4-month full-time term running from January 2027 to April 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support operational readiness for business and technology initiatives.
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
- Create and update operational documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in system and process testing, document results, identify defects, and help resolve issues.
- Prepare and maintain test data and project documentation.
- Collect and analyze information to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to respond to inquiries and support project deliverables.
- Identify ways to improve business processes, operational efficiency, and user experience.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled full-time in a recognized post-secondary co-op program and are eligible to complete this work term.
- You plan to return to school after the work term ends.
- You are studying Business Administration, Business Technology Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analysis, Project Management, or a related field.
- You have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- You communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- You can work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with documenting processes, software testing, quality assurance, or data visualization tools is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Toronto, Ontario.
- The role is on-site.
- This position may require occasional travel within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, sometimes outside of regular business hours.
