About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Ottawa, Ontario. You will join a team focused on data movement interconnects, working on semiconductor components and optical subsystems for networking, cloud, and telecom customers.
What you'll do#
- Work with industry-standard package designs and EDA tools, including HFSS and ADS.
- Analyze design constraints and trade-offs relevant to the semiconductor industry.
- Engage with best-in-class package designs, measurement instruments, and high-speed interfaces while meeting industry requirements.
- Present data and technical ideas to a diverse audience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master or Ph.D degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Understanding of semiconductor packaging or integration technology, specifically signal or power integrity, mechanical processes, or assembly processes.
- Familiarity with lab measurements using VNA and calibration kits.
- Experience using Python for test scripts.
- Proficiency with Cadence tools, such as APD or PCB Editor.

- Compensation: 32 to 43 CAD per hour.
