About the role#
TechInsights is seeking a Software Development Co-op Student for the Fall 2026 term. Reporting to the Agile Development Manager, you will work within the software development architecture and engineering teams to design and build solutions that support the semiconductor industry platform. This role involves participating in system design, mitigating technical risks, and contributing to the development of software that meets business requirements.
What you'll do#
- Implement front-end and back-end software solutions.
- Participate in software system design and architecture reviews.
- Provide real-time DevOps support through bug triage, troubleshooting, and platform observability.
- Develop proof-of-concepts to validate technical approaches and de-risk development.
- Maintain peer-reviewed technical documentation and record intellectual property related to the software platform.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code to support system deployment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct technical investigations and support end-customer needs during high-severity situations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing post-secondary education in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience developing software programs and knowledge of software concepts.
- Background in building technical integrated products, ideally within a SaaS environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on problem-solving.
- Proven ability to set realistic commitments and manage them to completion.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.

- This is a full-time, paid co-op position located on-site in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
