About the role#
TechInsights is seeking a Software Development Co-op for the Fall 2026 term. You will work alongside our Software Development and Architecture teams to design and build solutions that support our semiconductor intelligence platform. This role involves active participation in system design, technical problem-solving, and the development of both front-end and back-end software.
What you'll do#
- Design software systems that meet business requirements, including technology stack selection and security considerations.
- Implement front-end and back-end software solutions.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code to deploy systems in collaboration with CloudOps.
- Provide real-time DevOps support through bug triage and troubleshooting.
- Build proof-of-concept models to explore technical challenges and present findings to the team.
- Document all intellectual property related to the software platform.
- Contribute to platform observability by implementing telemetry and monitoring events.
- Maintain peer-reviewed technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience developing software programs and knowledge of software concepts.
- A background in building technical integrated products, ideally within a SaaS environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- A proven ability to set realistic commitments and manage them to completion.
- Experience working effectively in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with data and software architecture principles.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid co-op position.
- The role is based on-site at our Ottawa, Ontario office.
- Candidates must submit citizenship or permanent residency information to comply with U.S. Export Control Laws.
