About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship within the Broadband Analog group at Marvell Technology. The role focuses on the design and validation of FET and BiCMOS circuits for high-speed broadband integrated circuits used in optical fiber data communication. Interns will work on projects supporting data center and telecom markets, contributing to the development of high-performance analog front-end receivers.
What you'll do#
- Perform active-circuit design, including leading-edge transimpedance amplifiers using SiGe BiCMOS and advanced CMOS FinFET technologies.
- Develop transmission line and millimeter-wave structures to achieve high performance.
- Design high-performance broadband analog circuits for optical front-end receivers.
- Design various analog circuits, such as linear regulators, AGC loops, current/voltage sensors, and bandgaps.
- Collaborate with functional groups to facilitate post-silicon validation, qualification, mass production transition, and customer support.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in electrical engineering with an emphasis on analog/mixed-signal IC design.
- Proven experience in high-performance receiver design, including chip tape-out and lab evaluation.
- Solid experience using EDA CAD tools and performing analog custom layout.
- Experience measuring IC performance and debugging designs to correlate simulation results with physical measurements.
- Deep understanding of fundamental concepts, including transistor-level design, device physics, and control/feedback loop stability analysis.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
