    About the role#

    As a Digital Marketing Intern at Live Oak Bank, you will support efforts to connect small business owners with banking solutions and resources. This 10-week summer program provides hands-on experience in digital marketing, customer engagement, and brand awareness. You will work alongside marketing and technology professionals to contribute to projects that improve our online presence and customer experience.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with the execution and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across email, web, and social media.
    • Support content creation and updates for websites, landing pages, blogs, and marketing communications.
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, website traffic, and customer engagement metrics.
    • Develop reports and presentations to communicate marketing results and insights.
    • Conduct market, competitor, and industry research to support marketing strategies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Technology, Product, and Business units.
    • Support audience segmentation, customer journey mapping, and marketing automation efforts.
    • Participate in website quality assurance testing and content reviews.
    • Maintain marketing documentation, processes, and best practices.
    • Maintain regulatory awareness regarding BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Analytical mindset with an interest in interpreting data and identifying trends.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts like SEO, email marketing, and content marketing.
    • Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, WordPress, or Adobe Experience Manager is helpful.
    • Basic understanding of website technologies like HTML or CSS.
    • Previous internship, campus leadership, or involvement in marketing-related organizations.

    • Location: Wilmington, North Carolina (On-site).
    • Term: Summer 2027 (May 17 - July 23, 2027).
    • Employment: Part-time, paid internship.
    • Pay: $19.77 - $32.12 per hour.
