Student, Radiology Tech

About the role#

As a Student, Radiology Tech at Sovah Health - Danville, you will support the imaging department by performing diagnostic studies and assisting in patient care. This role involves working closely with patients to explain procedures, alleviate anxiety, and maintain a safe, hazard-free clinical environment.

What you'll do#

• Perform routine diagnostic imaging studies as needed.
• Communicate the nature of tests to patients to help relieve anxiety.
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of anatomy, radiographic positioning, and radiation safety.
• Maintain a work area free from hazards and follow infection control and quality control techniques.
• Interact in a professional and helpful manner with patients, physicians, and staff.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree, diploma, or associate degree program in Radiologic Technology (verification required).
• Valid BLS certification.

• Location: Danville, Virginia.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: PRN (as needed), requires a varied work schedule.
• Compensation: $15.27 - $18.14 per hour.
