About the role#
As a Student Radiology Tech at Sovah Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, you will support the clinical team by performing routine diagnostic imaging studies and ensuring high standards of patient care. This role is designed to provide practical experience for students currently pursuing their education in radiologic technology.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine diagnostic imaging studies as needed.
- Communicate the nature of tests to patients to help relieve their anxiety.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy, radiographic positioning, and radiation safety.
- Maintain a work area free from hazards and follow infection control and quality control techniques.
- Interact with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and helpful manner.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree, diploma, or associate degree program in Radiologic Technology (school verification required).
- Valid BLS certification.
Location & details#
- Location: Danville, Virginia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Rolling, PRN (must be able to vary work schedule).
- Compensation: $15.27 - $18.14 per hour.
