About the role#
This is a paid, full-time student trainee position for the Medical Assistant Program at Graves-Gilbert Clinic. This role operates on a rolling basis and requires on-site attendance in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and clinical examinations.
- Record patient medical history and document vital signs, height, and weight.
- Assist patients and their families by providing health information and educational materials.
- Transport patients to inpatient units or ancillary departments.
- Manage examination areas by cleaning rooms, restocking supplies, and monitoring inventory.
- Provide clerical support by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and coordinating diagnostic tests.
- Adapt to different departments as needed to assist with daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant field such as Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or Health Administration.
- Commitment to completing all mandatory workshops and training programs.
- Ability to maintain and apply job-related knowledge and skills throughout the program.
