About the role#
This is a casual Radiology Technologist position for students or registered technologists. You will work four shifts per month, which can be a mix of regular and on-call shifts. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in basic nursing duties while working within a team-based medical environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform X-rays according to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with patient examinations, treatments, and clinical triage.
- Prepare treatment rooms, including cleaning and sterilization.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including performing phlebotomy.
- Manage patient flow, documentation, and paperwork.
- Provide patient education and relay provider instructions.
- Assist with non-direct patient care tasks like stocking rooms and scanning records.
- Support the team during emergency situations.
- Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
- Assist front office staff with schedules and referrals.
What you'll need#
- Currently an RT student who has completed the first semester of clinicals, or an ARRT registered technologist.
- Applicants must be ARRT registered or eligible to sit for the registry exam.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn job-specific software.
- Recommended vaccinations: Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, and TB.
