About the role#
We are looking for a Student Radiology Technologist to join our team at Highpoint Health in Gallatin. This is a paid, on-site role that runs on a rolling basis. You will work alongside experienced staff to support our imaging department and help provide care to our patients.
What you'll do#
- Review patient history and physician orders before procedures.
- Explain procedures, equipment, and exams to patients to ensure they understand the process.
- Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within your scope of practice.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes in status.
- Set up equipment and supplies, choose imaging parameters, and adjust exposure factors.
- Position patients for imaging, analyze results for quality, and repeat procedures if necessary.
- Transport patients to and from the department safely.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a school of radiologic technology.
- Six months of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
