About the role#
As a Nursing Assistant Student, you support the nursing staff with patient care activities and nonprofessional services. You help ensure the comfort and personal needs of patients while working under the supervision of a nurse.
What you'll do#
- Take patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and document the information.
- Assist patients with daily living activities like dressing, bathing, oral hygiene, and ambulation.
- Prepare patients for meals, serve food, and assist with feeding.
- Maintain a safe healthcare environment by cleaning rooms and equipment and handling supplies.
- Answer patient call lights and provide help with personal hygiene.
- Provide input for end of shift reports and participate in quality assurance programs.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a CNA program in good standing.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
