About the role#
As a Nurse Extern at Ottumwa Regional Health Center, you will assist in providing patient care while gaining clinical experience. This is a PRN position requiring a minimum of one shift per month. You can choose from day, mid, or night shifts, ranging from 4 to 12 hours in length.
What you'll do#
- Provide a positive first impression for patients and visitors.
- Perform technical nursing skills according to hospital policy and procedure.
- Use effective communication with patients, staff, and visitors while considering age-related factors.
- Take initiative to resolve customer complaints.
- Demonstrate integrity and respect for yourself and others.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a School of Nursing.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
