About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Dallas, Texas. You will work within the Electro Optical Infrared Systems line of business, gaining hands-on experience in a professional manufacturing environment. This role requires you to work on-site.
What you'll do#
- Audit processes and conduct experiments in a Class 100 cleanroom or lab.
- Perform inspections using a laboratory microscope.
- Handle flammable, corrosive, and caustic chemicals safely.
- Update documentation and present findings to the Change Control Board.
- Compile, analyze, and present data.
- Manage, organize, and update data using database applications.
- Type and word-process draft documents and electronic information.
- Prepare routine reports with guidance.
- Assist in arranging meetings, conferences, and project team activities.
- Perform entry-level administrative duties.
- Project a professional company image during in-person and phone interactions.
- Follow procedures for the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
- Support the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a four-year undergraduate Engineering degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or Computer Science.
- Completion of at least two years of college, with Junior or Senior status at the time of application.
- A GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Capability to work effectively as a team member or on individual tasks.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- An active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Coding experience in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or VB is a plus.
