About the role#
The Leonardo DRS Airborne and Intelligence Systems business is seeking an Associate Planner Intern for Winter 2027. This part-time position offers hands-on experience in supply chain planning within a defense and intelligence technology organization. You will work directly with our planning and materials team to support production planning, material supply analysis, and coordination across departments.
What you'll do#
- Drive communication between planning, project accounting, and project management teams.
- Perform material supply analysis and recommend schedule improvements.
- Consolidate demand for purchase requisitions and create them based on the Master Production Schedule.
- Create reports for the program office, customer visits, and management.
- Monitor production status and manufacturing order completion dates.
- Support floor part requests, cycle and physical inventory counts, KANBAN material, and shelf-life monitoring.
- Support and communicate the mission and values of the company.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a 4-year bachelor program in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, or current enrollment in an MBA program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Flexibility to work a part-time schedule that accommodates class hours.
- Ability to switch between tasks and projects quickly.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of office procedures and solid writing and verbal skills.
