About the role#
Leonardo DRS is seeking Systems Engineer Interns for our Bridgeton, Missouri facility during the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work alongside our systems engineering team to support technical performance requirements on complex development programs.
What you'll do#
- Work under the direction of systems engineering managers and lead engineers on various activities.
- Assist the engineering team with daily assignments and design details.
- Gather and assemble data for engineering projects.
- Conduct design analysis or calculations under supervision.
- Use Matlab and Simulink software to perform assigned tasks.
- Help perform research in specific technical fields.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment as a Junior or above in a Bachelor’s program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Basic knowledge of Matlab and Simulink.
- Coursework in subjects such as calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics, or differential equations is preferred.
