About the role#
This is a hybrid sales and quant position. You will spend half your time selling to CFOs and treasurers, and the other half building the analytical tools and research that drive those sales. You will work directly with the founder every day to build a regulated financial business from the ground up.
What you'll do#
- Draft outreach to CFOs and treasurers, join customer calls, take notes, and own follow-ups until a next step is scheduled.
- Write one-page exposure analyses for target companies covering market-implied event probabilities, hedge costs, and the consequences of not hedging.
- Build a named list of 30 to 50 CFOs and treasurers across sports, aviation, and AI compute, and identify the warmest introduction path to each.
- Use code and AI agents to automate account research, introduction mapping, and memo drafts.
- Create one-pagers for each vertical and develop responses to recurring objections.
- Maintain a clean CRM and conduct the weekly pipeline review.
- During your first 30 days, you will draft exposure memos for 10+ target companies, build an AI-assisted research workflow, and join live CFO calls.
- By day 60, you will broker trades with large market makers alongside the founder.
- By day 90, you will execute trades.
What you'll need#
- Currently studying at or recently graduated from a top-tier university in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering fields.
- Alternatively, previous internship experience at investment banks, hedge funds, trading firms, top consultancies, top tech companies, or YC startups.
- A proven ability to convince people to buy, join, or fund something.
- Comfort speaking with senior leadership.
- Proficiency in coding and building agents with AI tools.
- A foundational understanding of probabilities, options, or derivatives.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York (on-site).
- Term: Winter 2027 (3 to 6 months).
- Compensation: $50,000 to $100,000 per year, prorated for the length of the internship.
- This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States. We cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role.
