PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while ensuring a high level of customer service. This role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all pharmacy visitors. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to provide clinical services and manage daily pharmacy operations.

What you'll do#

• Create an outstanding customer experience by answering questions and providing drug counseling.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense medications and facilitate accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
• Assist customers with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Process third-party insurance information and contact prescribers' offices for authorizations.
• Manage inventory by stocking incoming orders and returning unused stock to inventory.
• Maintain pharmacy safety standards by reporting risks and notifying management of incidents.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to gain and maintain deep knowledge of pharmaceutical products to discuss with customers and prescribers.
• Strong interpersonal skills to promote trust and respect among associates.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a professional environment while maintaining honesty and integrity regarding patient information.
