About the role#
As a Pharmacist Intern at Kroger, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This position is based in Portland, Oregon, and operates on a rolling basis. You will work directly under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling to customers.
- Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Contact prescribers offices for authorization.
- Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Process third party insurance information for customers.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- The ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
