About the role#
Retail Pharmacy Interns gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting while working toward their pharmacy degree. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to support patient care and pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Fill and process prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Maintain the confidentiality of private medical information in accordance with HIPAA.
- Assist with inventory control, including ordering, stocking merchandise, and checking invoices.
- Perform monthly inventory and follow security and regulatory procedures.
- Assist in training pharmacy employees.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Registered with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience is preferred.

- Location: Des Moines, Iowa.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
