About the role#
Coffeyville Regional Medical Center is hiring a Nurse PRN Intern to provide direct patient care and support services. This role works under the supervision of licensed personnel to help patients with daily needs and monitor their physical condition. You will gain clinical experience while supporting the healthcare team in a hospital environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct care to patients, including monitoring their status and reporting changes to staff.
- Obtain patient weights, vital signs, and perform glucometer testing.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Support the nursing team with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by stocking supplies and organizing equipment.
- Document patient information accurately and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of valid BCLS certification.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of 50-100 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to follow hospital safety protocols and exposure control plans.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
