About the role#
We are looking for Pharmacy Interns to join our team while completing their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education. You will work alongside experienced pharmacists who provide mentorship. This role offers hands-on experience in patient care, prescription processing, and pharmacy operations. Many interns move into full-time Staff Pharmacist positions after graduation and licensure.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists in providing patient-centered care.
- Prepare and process prescriptions accurately under pharmacist supervision.
- Help with immunizations and clinical services as permitted by state law.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Support inventory management and medication ordering.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team and store associates to deliver a positive patient experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Previous retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Current CPR and immunization certifications are preferred.
