About the role#
Ingles Markets is hiring Pharmacy Interns for the Summer 2026 term. This is an on-site, paid role for students currently in their P1 to P3 years of a Doctor of Pharmacy program. You will work under the supervision of experienced pharmacists to gain hands-on experience in patient care, prescription processing, and pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists in providing patient-centered care.
- Prepare and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Help with immunizations and clinical services as permitted by state law.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Provide customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
- Support inventory management and medication ordering.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to manage workflow and operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license in South Carolina, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- A desire to help patients improve their health.
- Previous retail pharmacy experience, current CPR certification, and immunization certification are preferred.
