    About the role#

    Ingles Markets is seeking Pharmacy Interns (P1-P3) for the Summer 2026 term. This role provides hands-on experience in community pharmacy operations, patient care, and prescription processing under the mentorship of experienced pharmacists.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist pharmacists in providing patient-centered care.
    • Accurately prepare and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
    • Provide customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
    • Assist with immunizations and clinical services as permitted by state law.
    • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
    • Support inventory management and medication ordering.
    • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to manage workflow and regulatory compliance.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
    • Active Pharmacy Intern license or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to maintain attention to detail in a busy environment.
    • A passion for helping patients improve their health.
    • Preferred: Previous retail pharmacy experience, current CPR certification, and immunization certification.
