About the role#
Ingles Markets is seeking Pharmacy Interns (P1-P3) for the Summer 2026 term. This role provides hands-on experience in community pharmacy operations, patient care, and prescription processing under the mentorship of experienced pharmacists.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists in providing patient-centered care.
- Accurately prepare and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Provide customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
- Assist with immunizations and clinical services as permitted by state law.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Support inventory management and medication ordering.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to manage workflow and regulatory compliance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
- Active Pharmacy Intern license or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail in a busy environment.
- A passion for helping patients improve their health.
- Preferred: Previous retail pharmacy experience, current CPR certification, and immunization certification.
