About the role#
This is a per diem Pharmacy Intern position based at Mount Sinai Queens. You will work under the direct supervision of pharmacists to support daily operations and patient care medication needs.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medication.
- Fill medication orders for individual patients.
- Mix pharmaceutical preparations, fill bottles with tablets or capsules, and prepare labels.
- Prepare intravenous (IV) medication using sterile techniques.
- Receive, store, and track incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Maintain inventory records by counting stock and entering data into the computer system.
- Clean and maintain pharmacy equipment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited (ACPE) College of Pharmacy, having completed at least three years of study.
- A valid Pharmacy Intern Permit.
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.

- Location: Long Island City, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $30.30 - $32.46 per hour.
- This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
