About the role#
The Kroger Operations Intern-Supply Chain program is a 12-week immersive experience running from January 11, 2027, to April 23, 2027. This role offers students the chance to work within the Corporate Supply Chain team and various operational departments, including Engineering, Transportation, Procurement, and Safety. Interns are expected to model core values of respect, honesty, integrity, and safety.
What you'll do#
- Manage multiple supply chain projects while adhering to set timelines.
- Conduct supply chain analysis and assist in the creation of process improvement projects.
- Partner with teams to elicit, analyze, document, and deliver supply chain solutions.
- Communicate status updates and potential risks to the appropriate teams.
- Assist with the documentation of supply chain processes and best practices.
- Seek and recommend new supply chain project opportunities.
- Develop plans for project risks and escalate unresolved issues.
- Complete a cumulative project and present findings to the executive team or managers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Majors preferred include Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Transportation, Retail Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, or Operations Management, though the program is open to all majors.
- Work authorization that does not require sponsorship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently or in groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of multi-tasking and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and accountability.
