About the role#
This internship offers an inside look at transportation operations within our supply chain. You will work alongside management and staff to learn the daily processes that keep our retail operations running. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position running from May 17th to August 13th, 2027. You will participate in the broader Hy-Vee Supply Chain Internship program, which includes facility tours and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Learn the day-to-day operations required to service our stores and customers.
- Analyze large sets of data to identify trends and operational needs.
- Propose changes to improve efficiency based on your findings.
- Develop and deliver a final presentation or paper summarizing your project work and new ideas.
What you'll need#
- A degree or progress toward a degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- Strong academic standing.
- Experience with teamwork and leadership roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to organize tasks and solve problems.
- Ability to attach a resume, cover letter, and transcript to your application.

- Locations: Chariton, IA or Ankeny, IA.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Status: This is a paid, full-time internship.
