About the role#
As a Supply Chain Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience within a distribution center. You will work alongside operations leaders to understand how products move through the supply chain, from inbound freight to outbound delivery. This role focuses on how safety, efficiency, and accuracy drive success at scale. You will contribute to initiatives that help the supply chain meet customer commitments.
What you'll do#
- Assist supervisors and observe daily operational management to develop leadership skills.
- Learn distribution center fundamentals, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Use operational performance metrics to evaluate productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and improve outcomes.
- Understand safety and compliance protocols critical to supply chain operations.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation dates of December 2027, May 2028, December 2028, or May 2029.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis tools.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
- Physical stamina to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to wear required PPE and work a full shift with a meal break.
- Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization is preferred.
- Prior internship or experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations is a plus.
