About the role#
As a Finance Intern, you will work at the intersection of strategy and execution to support financial decisions that drive business performance. You will participate in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis for a major home improvement retailer. You will collaborate with experienced finance professionals to turn data into strategic recommendations that influence business outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Work on hands-on projects that make meaningful contributions to the business.
- Learn financial forecasting and modeling to support strategic initiatives.
- Understand budgeting processes and capital planning frameworks.
- Evaluate business performance and identify trends through data analysis.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand the financial impacts of operational decisions.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance, Strategy, Accounting, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis tools.
- Experience in financial forecasting or analytical modeling.
- Previous experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Corporate Accounting.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience presenting insights to cross-functional stakeholders or leadership.
