About the role#
Hy-Vee is hiring a Digital Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site at our technology center in Grimes, Iowa. You will work within an Agile development environment to support our e-commerce, supply chain, and business intelligence initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the development team to receive technical guidance.
- Contribute to the design and development of business applications.
- Write unit tests for existing applications.
- Create reports using Microsoft Reporting Services.
- Assist with research projects by retrieving and analyzing data using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Follow and influence internal coding standards.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of software development technologies.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week.
