About the role#
KLA is hiring Mechatronics Interns for the Summer 2027 term in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This is a full-time, paid position. You will join engineering teams to improve the performance and capabilities of inspection and metrology tools. This role involves contributing to hardware or software development projects, working on specific components of larger initiatives alongside other interns and engineers.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance inspection and metrology tool performance.
- Design and develop hardware or software systems to evaluate mechatronics.
- Focus on specific components of larger technical initiatives.
- Use tools such as Python, CAD, and finite element analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Intent to return to graduate school in Fall 2027 to complete a master’s degree.
- Less than 1 year of related experience.
- Academic or hands-on experience in CAD design, control systems, finite element analysis, Python scripting, or data acquisition and visualization.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Interest or experience in hardware design.
