About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our Film and Scatterometry Technology division. You will contribute to the development, release, and support of advanced Film/OCD Metrology products. This role focuses on solving complex technical challenges by applying deep engineering knowledge to real-world customer needs.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and release of advanced Film/OCD Metrology products.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer applications and specific use cases.
- Translate technical customer challenges into actionable problem statements.
- Design and execute data collection plans for product development and troubleshooting.
- Analyze data to recommend design improvements or corrective actions.
- Collaborate across teams including engineering, applications, and customer support.
- Communicate project progress through oral presentations, written reports, and meeting summaries.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in semiconductor metrology is preferred.
- Familiarity with thin film/OCD characterization techniques is a plus.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role is helpful.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Milpitas, California.
- The position follows a rolling term.
