About the role#
KLA is seeking Mechatronics Interns for the Summer 2027 term at our Ann Arbor, Michigan facility. This full-time internship provides an opportunity to work directly with engineering teams to improve the performance of our inspection and metrology tools. You will join other interns and staff to contribute to a focused component of a larger technical initiative.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance inspection and metrology tool capabilities.
- Design and develop hardware or software systems.
- Evaluate mechatronics performance.
- Work alongside engineers and fellow interns on specific project components.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Academic or hands-on experience in CAD design, control systems, or finite element analysis.
- Proficiency or experience with Python scripting and data acquisition or visualization.
- An interest in hardware design and strong analytical skills.
- Less than 1 year of related experience.
- Preference for candidates planning to return to graduate school in Fall 2027 to complete a master’s degree.
