About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Oakville, Ontario. You will join the Geotechnical Group within our infrastructure design team to support projects during both the proposal and construction phases. You will work on design-build projects, collaborating with estimators and builders to create solutions that are safe and constructible.
What you'll do#
- Complete engineering analyses to support design solutions.
- Design temporary structures to support ongoing construction activities.
- Analyze geotechnical data for foundations, slope stability, settlement, groundwater flow, and excavation support.
- Produce detailed calculation packages, drawings, and engineering reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (minimum 3rd year) or a graduate degree in civil or geotechnical engineering.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer.
- Capacity to travel as needed and access all areas of a construction site in various environments.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
- A commitment to safety, ethics, and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

- Compensation: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.
- This role requires regular attendance during normal operating hours, with the possibility of overtime or weekend work.
