About the role#
Turner Construction is seeking students or recent graduates for a Field Coordinator Co-Op or Internship starting in January 2027. This full-time position offers hands-on experience in construction management through an 4- or 8-month term. Depending on the assignment, you will work on-site at an active construction project or within our Vancouver office. You will build foundational knowledge in project safety, subcontractor relationships, quality control, and the construction project lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Assist in day-to-day supervised activities related to project development.
- Support the project team with material tracking, file management, document control, and meeting coordination.
- Provide progress reports to your supervisor and participate in orientation, meetings, and training.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and employees.
- Comply with all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Assist with project start-up and close-out preparations.
- Process shop drawings, submittals, and requests for information.
- Attend site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Assist with quantity take-offs, studies, and the preparation of subcontractor proposals.
- Communicate with trades to track job schedules and monitor safety compliance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program, or a Co-op program.
- Recommended majors include Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
- At least 1 year of completed education or equivalent experience.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to work standard business hours and overtime when required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data entry.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- A proactive, curious approach and a desire to learn.

- Compensation: CA$21 to CA$25 per hour, based on experience and academic level.
