About the role#
Join Pomerleau as an Estimation Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting construction projects. This role involves working within our Methods and Preconstruction department to support the bidding process.
What you'll do#
- Lead the comprehensive bid process.
- Identify project-specific pricing for labor, equipment, and materials.
- Interpret technical specifications for bidding.
- Execute thorough quantity take-offs.
- Align proposed bids with project feasibility.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with trade partners, consultants, and clients.
- Provide assistance to the team.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a recognized Engineering or Construction Management degree or diploma program.
- Enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or graduated within 6 months prior to the start date.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Versatile, curious, meticulous, and eager to participate.
- Passion for the construction industry.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada and residing in Canada at the time of application.
