About the role#
Join us as a Scheduling Coordinator Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting construction projects. You will work within our Planning department, assisting with project schedules and data management over a 12-month term. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers exposure to the technical side of construction management.
What you'll do#
- Manage one or two projects at a time.
- Assist with project schedules and work sequences during the proposal phase.
- Develop Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for assigned projects.
- Draft assumption and progress notes.
- Update schedules based on timelines set by the project team.
- Coordinate with project teams to integrate data and stakeholder requirements.
- Create and maintain visual reports from schedule data.
- Monitor the performance of critical or high-risk activities during execution.
- Participate in resource integration and create load curves.
- Attend weekly project monitoring meetings, site visits, and project reviews.
- Report progress, successes, and challenges to your Team Leader.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor or diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
- Significant experience in construction project management.
- Proficiency in Office 365.
- Interest in planning software like Primavera P6, MS Project, or TILOS.
- Strong analytical skills and a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to various stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and good judgment in decision-making.
- An interest in new technologies and a willingness to learn.
- Previous construction internship experience and fluency in English are considered assets.
- You must be legally authorized to work in Canada, reside in Canada, and be enrolled in or recently graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution.
