About the role#
Amrize is hiring an AAT Co-Op Laboratory Technician to support the Asphalt Technologies QC Laboratory. You will assist with daily lab operations and material analysis. This is a full-time, paid position for an 8 to 12 month term starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform material sampling and testing on raw materials for asphalt production.
- Extract and recover recycled asphalt materials.
- Conduct asphalt binder testing, including DSR, RTFO, PAV, BBR, and Viscosity.
- Ensure all testing follows ASTM and AASHTO standards.
- Input and review test data to support quality assurance.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Promote a safe work culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil, Chemical, or Materials Engineering program.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong organization, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to pass qualitative and quantitative respirator fit tests, which requires being clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face.
