About the role#
PCL Construction is hiring Engineering Students for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in our Toronto District. You will work on-site for a duration of 4 or 8 months starting in January 2027. We are looking for students pursuing degrees in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate drawings, work scopes, and trade quotes.
- Verify material quantities, hours, rates, and conduct deficiency walks.
- Participate in project meetings and manage deficiency logs and warranties.
- Document progress through photos and update field drawings.
- Produce as-built drawings and perform quantity takeoffs.
- Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work and verify site conditions.
- Maintain project records and site documentation.
- Layout site lines and grades using total station equipment.
- Create and update schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM and AutoCAD software.
- Monitor workforce productivity and gather scheduling information from sub-trades.
What you'll need#
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting software.
- Prior field construction experience is an asset.

- Locations: Oakville, ON and Toronto, ON.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $21.37 to $31.33 per hour, based on experience.
