About the role#
Amrize is seeking an Environmental Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, 10-week, full-time internship based in Middleton, Massachusetts. You will work within a cement manufacturing environment to support environmental initiatives and ensure responsible plant operations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the continuous improvement of environmental initiatives.
- Interact daily with plant employees and contractors to guide environmental practices.
- Perform regular inspections, monitoring, and testing of equipment, processes, and emissions.
- Collect and analyze environmental data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Communicate, improve, and follow health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Present your project learnings and contributions to the executive leadership team at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
- Strong academic performance and a solid grasp of engineering principles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach to new challenges.
- Ability to work as a team member across different organizational levels.
- Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field.
Location & details#
- Location: Middleton, Massachusetts.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Environment: The role is based in a cement manufacturing and production plant with exposure to moving equipment, airborne particles, and weather conditions.
- Travel: You may be required to travel to other sites for tours, shadowing, or intern events. You are responsible for your own transportation.
