About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is hiring for a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to join our team in Ventura, California, for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers mentorship and professional development opportunities. You will work on projects related to water resources, water quality, and wastewater treatment.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering calculations and skills from your coursework to active project tasks.
- Manage project progress and communicate with team members and clients.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Conduct site visits for project-related work.
- Prepare technical reports, design plans, and specifications.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- You have completed at least your junior year of study in an accredited engineering program.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Ventura, California.
- The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least two days per week in the office.
- The pay rate for this position is $21 to $26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Interns receive medical coverage or a monthly stipend, a monthly cell phone allowance, 401(k) participation, and accrued paid sick time.
