About the role#
Benesch is hiring interns for the Summer 2026 term to work with our Transportation and Highway Design teams. You will work alongside experienced professionals to improve roadway and highway infrastructure. This is a full-time, paid internship based in our Milwaukee or Madison offices.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to engineering projects involving highway and roadway design.
- Perform traffic analysis and prepare project plans.
- Gain hands-on experience using engineering design software.
- Assist with construction documentation and collaborative project delivery.
- Engage with senior engineers through mentorship and project site visits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation to reach project sites.
