About the role#
Benesch is hiring interns to join our Bridge and Structural Engineering teams. You will work alongside experienced professionals to deliver solutions for transportation challenges. This role offers hands-on experience through mentorship and participation in active projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the design of both conventional and complex bridges and structures.
- Perform load ratings and bridge inspections.
- Contribute to analysis, design, and field tasks.
- Collaborate with project engineers and managers on active assignments.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a focus on structures.
- A master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus is preferred.
- A strong interest in bridge and structural engineering.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
- Experience with AASHTO, ASTM, and DOT or agency standards and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.

- This position is based on-site in Boston, Massachusetts.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
